The fourth release – HP Mini Remix 090704
July 4th, 2009
You can go to the download page to get it.
As far as I can tell, this fixes some of the issues that came up in the last version (suspend-to-RAM not taking, the desktop folder and home folder being the same). I’ve also added the PPA repositories for Firefox 3.5, even though I did not install 3.5 itself (but with the PPA repositories, you can easily install it yourself using the package manager).
It’s come to my attention that the combination of Bluetooth, Broadcom, and the lpia kernel in Jaunty don’t work. I don’t have any Bluetooth devices myself, so I can’t effectively test it, and I also do not even know what fixes I would have to employ to get Bluetooth working.
If anyone has definite working fixes, let me know.

I started using your remix from the first release, and I just wanted to say thanks. A special thanks for the sound fix post. My question is, is it possible/safe to upgrade to your latest version or should I do a fresh install?

I don’t think it’s possible to upgrade to the latest version. I don’t really know how to package updates that way… plus the new kernel will break the sound again.
I would just stick with the first release if it’s working for you. If you’re really curious about the latest, do a fresh install.

I’m going to try to use Ricotz’ PPA for a packaged alsa 1.0.20 which is compatible with Jaunty. I’ll report during the weekend.
